One of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever received about being my own webmistress came from a client circa 2001. He said-treat your website like a magazine. Update the content on a regular basis.
Part of my ‘content’ updating is checking links, search terms and keywords. It is amazing the words people plug into a search engine and find me…and no I’m not sharing. Get your own keywords! 
If you have your own website, I highly recommend doing some ‘light reading’ of your own on what SEO is and how you can use it to your advantage.
SEO and what not to do!
BlackHat/Spamdexing is a sure fire way to not show up in search engine rankings on Google, Yahoo, MSN etc. Don’t do these things. Seriously-don’t.
